Our management team has extensive experience in and ties to the San Francisco Bay Area market where they have spent virtually their entire careers.
Ed is a 30-year career banker, having worked his entire career in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to forming Bank of San Francisco, he was Senior Vice President/Team Leader at City National Bank where he managed commercial banking for the San Francisco and West Bay markets. Prior to joining City National Bank, Ed held leadership positions at CivicBank of Commerce and First Interstate Bank.
A graduate of Leadership San Francisco in 1990, he is past Chairman and a current Board Member of RAMS, Inc., a nonprofit mental health agency with an emphasis on serving Asian & Pacific Islander Americans. He was previously on the Board of Junior Achievement of the Northern California. Ed earned his B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School in 1988.
Wendy has over 35 years of international, commercial, and private banking experience. Prior to joining the founding team of the Bank in 2005, Wendy was Senior Vice President/Chief Credit Officer at Golden Gate Bank from 1998 to 2005. Wendy started her banking career at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company in New York and continued her career with increasing responsibilities in the San Francisco/Bay Area market at Crocker National Bank, The Bank of California, and CivicBank of Commerce.
Wendy graduated magna cum laude from Connecticut College and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She has an Executive Degree from the Graduate School of Credit and Financial Management and is a 2002 graduate of Leadership San Francisco. Wendy has been the recipient of the Emeryville Business and Professional Women’s Association annual “Woman of the Year” Award. She is a member of the Rotary Club of San Francisco and has served on the San Francisco Rotary Foundation Board. She also is a former Board Member of Women's Initiative for Self Employment. Wendy was honored as one of the Bay Area’s most Influential Women in 2013 by the San Francisco Business Times.
Mitchell comes to the Bank with a wealth of knowledge in credit and compliance in both business and consumer lending. He brings to this position more than 25 years of C&I and Real Estate lending experience. In his most recent role, Mitchell served as the Chief Compliance Officer at RPM Mortgage, an independent mortgage lender headquartered in the East Bay. Other senior level roles have included serving as a Wholesale Credit Administrator at Bank of Hawaii, and Credit Team Lead for City National Bank.
Mitchell earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley. He is also a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. Mitchell also successfully completed the Mortgage Bankers Associate School of Mortgage Banking and Future Leaders Programs.
Lisa has been with the Bank since its organization in 2005 and has 14 years of banking experience. In her role as Chief Financial Officer, Lisa oversees the Bank’s finance and accounting functions. Lisa also serves as the Bank’s Corporate Secretary and is the Secretary of the Bank’s Executive Committee, Chair and Secretary of the Bank’s Investment Committee, and Member and Secretary of the Bank’s Asset Liability Management Committee. Prior to joining Bank of San Francisco, Lisa worked at City National Bank and CivicBank of Commerce in various positions with increasing responsibility in commercial banking.
Lisa is a 2009 graduate of Leadership San Francisco. She is an active member of the Asian Business League and has volunteered with organizations focused on serving the Asian & Pacific Islander community and youth education, such as RAMS, Inc. and Junior Achievement of Northern California. Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Business Administration, Finance at San Francisco State University.
Juanna joined the Bank in 2013 as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. She has over 25 years of banking experience in compliance, operations, and systems. Before joining Bank of San Francisco, Juanna served as Circle Bank's Senior Vice President of Operations and Technology. Prior to joining Circle Bank, she spent more than a decade as a consultant for a range of community banks, including One PacificCoast Bank, Circle Bank, New Resource Bank, California Bank of Commerce, Bank of Alameda, Mission National Bank, American California Bank, Private Bank of the Peninsula, and Community Bank of the Bay. Juanna spent ten years at Commercial Bank of San Francisco as Senior Vice President, Operations and Technology and prior to that served as Assistant Vice President of Operations and Branch Manager of the former Bank of San Francisco, (no affiliation).
Juanna has in-depth experience with strategic planning, risk management, personnel development, and project management. She is an expert in maximizing operational efficiencies and has experience with technology management. Juanna has consulted on projects ranging from compliance and risk management programs to electronic banking systems to de novo core and item processing systems. Juanna received training at the BAI School for Bank Administration and graduated from Barclays Bank’s Operations Training Program.
